The initiation of Atogepant for the prophylaxis of migraine (as per NICE TA973) by GPs who are confident to do this without specialist input is accepted. (Adults who have at least 4 migraine days per month, only if at least 3 preventative treatments have not worked or are unsuitable.) Dosing reduction is required for concomitant use of specific strong CYP3A4 or OATP inhibitor drugs. See BNF or SmPC for guidance on potential drug interactions.
